About Us
We are new cattery located on a wooded hillside overlooking Danbury,
Connecticut, just over the border from New York State. As a small
cattery, we are dedicated to the exclusive, careful breeding of
TRADITIONAL BURMESE cats. We are avid kid and pet lovers and currently
share our home with our four children, four cats, and two dogs. Having
been raised in the home of a veterinarian and working in his practice
since I was a teen, you could say that loving and caring for animals is
"in my blood." All of the cats in our home are our pets and receive all
of the affection, exercise, and freedom necessary to be happy and
healthy. They are also dog and kid friendly!
I was first introduced to the Burmese breed when a lovely brown "stray" kitty was brought into the vet clinic. I was immediately taken by her silky soft fur and her large gold eyes, but was completely won over when she settled herself comfortably on my lap and remained there throughout the lengthy process of locating her owners through microchip. Although I had never bought a breed of cat before, it wasn't long until I knew that I wanted to adopt one of these exceptional kitties myself, and so it began...
Currently we are being mentored by a local breeder with 30 years of experience breeding and raising Burmese cats, and we also have the support of several other breeders of traditional Burmese through CFA, the United Burmese Cat Fanciers, and the National Alliance of Burmese Breeders. We look forward to learning more about this most wonderful of breeds and hope to contribute to the continued health and popularity of the Traditional Burmese.
